K-Tuned's 90mm and 80mm throttlebodies have proven to be one of the best big bore throttle bodies on the market for both drivability, reliability, and not leaking even under enormous boost pressures. The is new 72mm is no different. It offers many of the same features found on the 80-90mm throttle bodies. It is direct bolt on for the RBC/RRC oem intake manifolds or aftermarket manifolds with the same flange bolt pattern. 72mm t/b uses the same type of o-ring seal as well which will provide better seal than a gasket.
Why RBC/RRC bolt pattern? The RBC is the best manifold for stock to mild builds. It offers good flow and very reasonable price. Hands down the RBC is the best manifold for the value for stock to mild builds. 72mm is the largest you can open an RBC without breaking through. We offer interchangeable inlets similar to our larger throttle bodies, available in 3" Vanjen (Wiggins Style) and 3" V-Band. O-ring seal on the inlet keeps them from leaking even on high boost setups.
The OEM K-series MAP sensor and IACV are both a direct bolt on, with the ports located on the bottom of the t/b, where they are out of view for a cleaner look. Like K-Tuned's other throttle bodies, you are able to change the TPS adapter easily from K-TPS to B-TPS. Please note that the 5V signal range of both TPS sensors is identical so this option offers even more choice on the final intake setup. The throttle cable connection is made using a fully adjustable throttle rotor with 10 settings. All K-Tuned Throttle Bodies are constructed with 6061 billet aluminum with a brass throttle blade and a stainless steel, center-less ground, throttle shaft that is leak tested to 90psi. They are also 100% North American made as are all the raw materials.
Vehicle Application: will fit any cable driven K-swapped vehicle with RBC/RRC manifold or other K manifolds that use an RBC/RRC style throttle body flange pattern.
