Recent Price Increases

We just want to give you a little insight on why a lot of our product's pricing has increased recently...

If you haven't heard or kept up with the times, our economy has hit the crapper hard this year. Certain areas of the import industry are feeling it worse than others. In fact, some online Import stores have closed shop because they just can't keep up.

Raw materials and transportation costs has gone up recently which is the single major reason for increased prices across the board. Some raw materials are not even available causing a huge number of back orders for certain manufacturers.

So that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

We just want to remind all of our customers that we really really thank you for your support and hope things look better in near future for everyone in this market.

Red Cross Support for China Earthquake Victims

For those that live under a rock, on Monday May 12, a major earthquake, measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale, jolted southwestern China's Sichuan Province. Hundreds of aftershocks followed in the same area. The quake destroyed thousands buildings in the area, as well as infrastructure like communication networks and electrical towers.

Thousands of people died or are missing, and more than 270,000 were injured. The earthquake left an estimated five million people homeless. Many schools were destroyed, including one that had at least 900 students in it. This earthquake is the worst natural disaster to hit China in 30 years.

Simply click on the My Account button on the top navigation bar or click HERE, then click on register/login and create your new account.

During the transition to V3, we were unable to transfer all user accounts over from the previous site because of database differences.

Welcome to JHPUSA V3!

Welcome to the all new JHPUSA website for 2008!

This is not just a re-skin job like we've had in the last few years. The ENTIRE site has been rebuilt from the ground up. That means we hired local day workers [directly nabbed from Home Depot] to help reenter all of our product data by hand @ $5.50hr, which took some precious-precious time to do. In fact, we're not even 100% done. These guys went on strike recently, so in-house staff is working their butts off to get everything ready for your enhanced shopping experience!

We decided on a complete website refresh around April 2007. We then hired the fantastical web team over at Medium Giant (Fred, Jason, and Huan) who put some hard work into the visual and programming characteristics of JHP v3. The site's back-end was up around August which then allowed us JHP staff to access and learn the new system and begin product data entry. The front-end GUI was partially ready around late September, but was not fully complete until February 2008.

This all new professional design has better navigation, all product photos have been re-taken in a more professional manor providing you with larger product photos - so you can actually see what you're buying now! An all new user profile system, an all new online order processing system, updated secure check out, blog, Flash gallery, and tons more! So, go ahead and click around and get familiar with JHP v3!

Bare with us, as some areas of the site are not 100% complete.
